After my Wednesday night classes, I enjoy staying around and connecting with attendees. Sometimes someone will ask an unusual question about their practice, one that rarely comes up.
More often, because we struggle with similar challenges, the questions are the same.
What if I'm always lost in thoughts?
What if I can't follow the breath?
Does it matter how long I practice?
How do I deal with sleepiness…spacing out for the whole session?
Recently in the midst of answering some of these questions someone joked, "Tara, you'd get home earlier if you could just hand us an FAQ on meditation!"
I took this to heart - and not because I wanted to be able to cut out earlier. :-)
Given the fast growing interest in meditation, when I went online, I was surprised to find there wasn’t a good FAQ resource available.
So that’s why I worked with a few teacher colleagues, compiling questions we felt were most important to address.
Hopefully we’ve created a helpful document that answers any pressing questions you have about meditation.
This guide is meant to be useful for all practitioners. New and experienced, alike.
